10 Bears sits high on a ridge in Hochatown, and the view is the first thing you’ll notice. A wrap-around deck looks out over miles of pine trees, and the sun comes up right over the valley. It’s a four-bedroom, four-bath cabin that sleeps sixteen, so it works when the whole family drives down together, or when a few couples want a weekend that doesn’t feel crowded.

Inside, the main level opens into one big room with a tall ceiling, plenty of couch space, a linear fireplace and an 86-inch TV for game day. The kitchen is built for people who actually cook. There’s a long island, a big gas range and two dining tables, so everybody gets a seat at dinner. Each of the four bedrooms has a king bed and a smart TV. The primary suite has a spa-style shower and a separate soaker tub, and the other bedrooms have full baths close by.

Upstairs, the loft is where the kids end up. It has a full-size pool table, a two-player arcade machine and two sets of twin-over-full bunk beds. A sleeper sofa on the main floor gives you a little more room when the group runs big.

Outside is where you’ll spend your evenings. The seven-person hot tub sits on the covered deck with the view right in front of it. There’s an outdoor bar, a gas grill and comfortable seating, and a fire pit down below with room for eight. Climb up to the top deck for the egg-chair swings and some stargazing, or toss a few rounds of cornhole before supper.

A few things worth knowing before you book. The driveway is large and pull-through, so bringing a boat or an ATV is no trouble. Dogs are welcome. A high chair and a pack-n-play are at the cabin for little ones. The fireplaces are only run from October through March. There are security cameras outside, watching the entrances only, and they are not monitored during your stay.
