Enchanted Forest

The front doors at Enchanted Forest are painted red, and they are about the only loud thing on a quiet gray cabin. Behind them is a one-story layout, five bedrooms and two and a half baths, sleeping fourteen. There are steps up to the porch, and no stairs once you are inside.

The main room is built from light pine. The walls and the ceiling are both pine planks, a stone fireplace with a gas fire anchors one end, and brown leather sofas sit around a round wood coffee table under a chandelier. The pool table is in the same big room as the kitchen, so the person cooking and the person racking balls are within talking distance. A long dining table seats ten, and the dark-stained kitchen island has black bar stools along it and a coffee bar next to it with a drip brewer and mugs.

There are three regular bedrooms. The king room has navy curtains, an orange throw and a glass door out to the deck. The two queen rooms have floral comforters, one with orange curtains and one with green. A guest bathroom has teal tile around the tub and shower, and the king room’s bathroom has a dark tile walk-in shower and a vessel sink on a rustic vanity. There is a half bath too, and a washer and dryer.

The two bunk rooms are what get the count up to fourteen. One has two sets of wood bunks with navy bedding and sleeps four. The other has queen-size bunks and a canvas teepee in the corner and also sleeps four. White barn doors open onto one of the bunk rooms, and a Pac-Man cabinet stands by the glass door to the deck.

Out back, the covered porch has a hot tub, a wood picnic table with benches, and a stone fireplace with a wall TV and orange-cushioned wicker chairs around it. The gas fireplace is for cooler weather. The gravel yard holds a fire pit circled by navy Adirondack chairs and a playset with a yellow slide and swings.

Dogs are allowed. Broken Bow, Oklahoma, is close, and the water at Broken Bow Lake is a few miles past it.
