7BR lodge for 48 with pool, hot tub, barrel sauna, sports court and game loft
The Overlook on Boulder Creek
Broken Bow, OklahomaDescription
The Overlook on Boulder Creek is a lodge, not a cozy cabin for two. It sleeps up to 48, with seven bedrooms, seven full bathrooms and two half baths. It sits on a wooded slope above the creek in Broken Bow, with decks stacked up the back of the house and a long view over the hills.
Six king suites do most of the sleeping. Four sit on the first floor and the other two are upstairs, and each suite has its own bathroom with a double vanity and a big walk-in shower. The seventh bedroom is a large bunk room upstairs, with four sets of triple-stacked bunks made up in blue, a TV and a bathroom of its own. Bunk alcoves in three of the hallways give kids and teenagers more places to land.
The living room has a leather sectional, a stone fireplace and a TV. The kitchen is built for cooking in quantity: a gas range under a hood, a pair of ovens, a pair of dishwashers, a pair of sinks and an oversized refrigerator, with a white island and stools in the middle. A long dining table with benches and chairs sits close by, and the island adds more seats. Several washer and dryer sets are spread through the house, which helps when a crowd is coming out of the pool.
Upstairs is the game loft. It has a full-size pool table, a shuffleboard table, arcade machines, a wet bar with a mini fridge and ice maker, and a wood table with benches for cards. Glass doors open to a balcony.
Outside, it feels closer to a small resort than a rental. There is a large pool that can be heated, a hot tub, a cedar barrel sauna, and a lit court for pickleball and basketball. Down at the water, a stone fire pit with black Adirondack chairs sits on the creek bank, and there is a wooden playset with a slide for younger kids. Covered patios run along the back of the house, each with a stone fireplace and TV, a built-in grill and big tables. The listing also mentions direct ATV trail access from the property, which is worth asking about.
Wi-Fi is free, and the king suites each have a TV of their own. The Mountain Fork River and Beavers Bend State Park are the usual draws in this part of Oklahoma, along with the lake, but with a pool, a court and a creek in the yard, plenty of groups will not feel any hurry to leave.
