Above the Pines at Carter Mountain
Pet-Friendly Luxury Cabin | Mountain Views, Game Room, Hot Tub, Fire Pit & More
Moonshiner Spgs Trl, Broken BowDescription
Above the Pines at Carter Mountain is where the spirit of the mountains meets refined comfort, bringing you a timeless escape tucked high above Hochatown. As soon as you walk in, the panoramic views stretch across the ridgelines, and everything slows down just a little. This isn’t just a place to stay—it’s where long talks by the fire, board games that stretch into the night, and that one glass of wine you finally got around to enjoying come together.
Above the Pines at Carter Mountain welcomes guests with an open-concept living area that immediately feels like home—only better. The leather sofa invites deep conversation or a casual nap. A queen sleeper hides extra comfort in plain sight, and nearby, a reading loft with a telescope nudges you toward stargazing with a fresh perspective. A gas fireplace hums beneath the big-screen TV, but it’s the quiet moments—the poufs by the ottoman, the soft crackle of the flames—that create the stories you’ll remember.
Above the Pines at Carter Mountain doesn’t skimp on food moments, either. The fully stocked kitchen blends rustic charm with modern utility. From the wine cooler to the dual-option coffee station, everything is there for leisurely breakfasts or shared dinners that stretch on into laughter. The dining table seats six, while the island’s five stools become the silent witness to late-night snacks and morning plans.
Above the Pines at Carter Mountain makes room for everyone, even when everyone needs their own space. The main-level master suite feels like a secluded retreat, complete with a king-size bed, a private patio, and an ensuite bath that evokes a spa-like experience with its soaker tub and dual-head walk-in shower. Downstairs, two more master suites mirror that indulgence, each with its own private bathroom, king-size bed, and patios that open to fresh air and the sounds of morning birdsong.
Above the Pines at Carter Mountain even makes the bunk room a cool place to be. Downstairs, tucked away from the grown-up corners of the cabin, you’ll find two sets of bunks—one twin-over-twin, one queen-over-queen—where kids (and the young at heart) can wind down in a space made just for them. The ensuite bath ensures convenience without a trek, and like every room here, it feels intentional, not just functional.
Above the Pines at Carter Mountain has a lounge space that redefines “game night.” Shuffleboard, Connect 4, cards, and a second gas fireplace set the mood for easy evenings or rainy-day fun. With its own queen sleeper and big-screen TV, this game room doubles as another relaxation zone.
Above the Pines at Carter Mountain makes its outdoor living spaces more than just extra square footage. The upper patio invites sunrise coffee with bar-height seating and mountain views that go on forever. Down below, a second patio is designed for firelight and conversation, featuring a gas fireplace and TV that turn any night into an event. The firepit’s circle of Adirondack chairs was built for s’mores, stories, and the kind of stargazing that resets your soul.
Above the Pines at Carter Mountain takes fun seriously. There’s cornhole for friendly competition, an oversized hot tub nestled beneath a covered space, and even a hanging egg chair for that perfect, quiet swing in the breeze. The outdoor bar area completes the picture, with four stools and a TV for when you want to be outside but not miss the game.
Above the Pines at Carter Mountain understands that your four-legged friends are family too, which is why it’s proudly pet-friendly. With space to roam, snuggle, and relax, it’s a rare gem where every member of the crew—paws and all—feels right at home.
Above the Pines at Carter Mountain is more than a cabin. It’s an invitation to breathe deeply, reconnect meaningfully, and savor the kind of peace that doesn’t follow you home—it stays with you. Whether you’re here for a holiday, a celebration, or a much-needed pause, this cabin offers something harder and harder to find: space just to be.

Just like the pictures, the house was beautiful. Perfect for a relaxing weekend with the family. The multiple king size beds with attached bathroom suites made room distribution easy! Also signal goes in and out when you start to drive further from like downtown area but the host gave us exact directions to arrive without issue beforehand.

Above the Pines cabin is stellar! Truly a getaway to remember because of the breathtaking views around the entire cabin, architecture, interior design, 2 living areas, huge patio and an entire hot tub cabana. The host was so kind and wonderful to work with. My family was deeply blessed by our time at the cabin, and we encourage you to enjoy it as much as we did!
