Description

The great room at Cross My Heart is two stories tall. A wall of windows looks straight into the pines, a tile fireplace runs up toward the ceiling, and an open staircase with wood treads and a cable railing climbs along one side. The cabin is modern, dark siding with cedar trim, and with five bedrooms and four and a half baths it sleeps seventeen.

Three of the bedrooms are king suites, each with its own bathroom. One of them is on the main floor, and two are upstairs, where the walls are pine laid in a herringbone pattern behind the beds. The downstairs bunk room sleeps eight and has a TV and a gray canvas teepee in the corner. A second bunk room upstairs has a triple bunk and sleeps three. Two stacked washer and dryer sets mean a big group does not have to take turns.

The game room is its own room off the main floor, so the noise stays out of the kitchen. It has a pool table, a Pac-Man cabinet, a Street Fighter II cabinet, a Pop-A-Shot basketball game and a TV on the wall. Board games and a game console are there too.

The kitchen has gray cabinets, white quartz counters and a gas range, with a long island and four clear stools that have gold legs. A dining table seats eight, with wishbone chairs, and sits right in the great room under the high ceiling. There is a dishwasher, a Keurig and a coffee bar for the early risers.

The covered deck is the big outdoor room. The listing puts it at more than 1,100 square feet. A hot tub sits at one end, there is a ping pong table, a tile fireplace and a TV, an outdoor dining table, a Blackstone griddle, a giant Connect 4 and two hanging wicker egg chairs. Past the rail, the yard drops into tall pines strung with lights. You will find a playset with a green slide, a nest swing, a ring swing, and a fire pit with a full circle of Adirondack chairs.
