Gilded Stag is a luxury 8-bedroom, 7.5-bath cabin designed to bring families, friends, and groups together in comfort and style. Located in the scenic Hochatown area, this grand retreat sleeps up to 28 guests and offers everything needed for a relaxing and fun-filled stay. Whether planning a family reunion, group vacation, or celebration, Gilded Stag delivers a peaceful setting with high-end features and plenty of space for everyone to spread out and enjoy.
When guests step inside, they are welcomed by a large open living space filled with natural light and warm wood tones. The living room features a large leather sectional, four accent chairs, a big-screen TV, and a cozy gas fireplace, making it the perfect place to gather after exploring the outdoors. To the left of the entryway, the fully stocked kitchen provides everything needed to cook for a crowd. It includes an oversized industrial refrigerator, two dishwashers, cookware, dishes, and a duo coffee maker for single cups and full pots. The space is ideal for shared meals, thanks to two large dining tables, each seating eight people, creating a cozy setting for both meals and conversation.
On the main level, guests will find five spacious king master suites, each featuring a king-size bed, a large TV, storage space, and a private bathroom. The ensuite bathrooms vary slightly but include walk-in showers, double sinks, and a few with extra touches like soaking tubs or rainfall shower heads. Upstairs, the bunk room is a favorite among kids and teens, offering two queen beds and stacked twin bunks, plus a bathroom with double sinks and a shower/tub combo. Two additional upstairs bedrooms each have king beds and double-stacked queen bunks, perfect for families or small groups traveling together. These rooms share a modern bathroom with a rainfall shower and dual vanities.
The outdoor space is just as impressive as the inside. Under the breezeway, guests can enjoy an outdoor fireplace, a mounted TV, lounge chairs, and a private hot tub. Around the corner, the back patio offers plenty of entertainment with five sun loungers, a fire pit with seating for ten, two more dining tables, and a gas grill connected to the main propane line—perfect for cookouts and evenings under the stars.
Gilded Stag also features a detached game room and theater lounge that feels like a private retreat. Inside, guests will find a pool table, shuffleboard, Big Buck Hunter arcade game, seven theater-style recliners facing a big-screen TV, and two unique floating egg chairs. A wet bar with a wine fridge, ice maker, and microwave makes it easy to snack and relax without heading back inside.

There’s so much to say!!! Imagine you want to spend a few days with your entire family (kids, siblings, nieces, nephews, etc). You need accommodations for the married couples, the singles, the little ones, a large space for us to eat together. This place has all of that!!! All of the bedrooms with king beds were master suites. Each with their own private bath suite. There are three bedrooms to cover the kids and singles with large bunkbeds and double beds. There so much for to do for the family of all ages. Kids playground, 2 hot tubs, pool table, theater seats, games, games and more games. We definitely enjoyed the large chess game setup on the porch. And the ice machine!!! Saved us countless trips to the local store when you have that many people. Great place to hold a family gathering!!! I highly recommend this location. -
The Gilded Stag is a magnificent place. There were 22 of us in our group and we never felt crowded. There’s plenty of room to sit around and visit. We used the kitchen and back patio daily to cook / grill and visit with each other. The bedrooms and bathrooms are great also. We will rent this place again.
