10BR house sleeping 52 with pool, pond and kayaks, pickleball court, sauna, hot tub and arcade room
The Play Haus
Broken Bow, OklahomaDescription
The Play Haus is built for the group that can’t sit still. It’s a three-story, 10-bedroom house in Broken Bow that sleeps 52, with 10 bathrooms, around 6,700 square feet inside and a couple thousand more in decks. There’s a ramp to the front door, so nobody has to deal with stairs to get in.
Eight of the bedrooms are king suites with their own bathrooms and double vanities, with the upper-floor suites opening to private balconies. Four are on the first floor, and the upper floors have the rest, including two suites that also have bunk beds in them. Two separate bunk rooms hold fifteen queen beds between them, one with nine, the other with six, each with a bathroom that has a tub.
The top-floor game room is the hangout. It has real arcade machines, including two racing cars, skee-ball, air hockey and a basketball shooter, along with a pool table, foosball, ping pong, a poker table and a mini bar with a sink. Next door is a covered deck with a round table and hanging egg chairs. When you’ve had enough of the screens, head outside.
The yard has a 20 by 40 foot heated pool with in-water loungers, a hot tub that fits ten, and a sauna for four. A pond sits just beyond the pool, stocked for catch and release, with a dock and kayaks and life jackets. There’s a fenced pickleball and basketball court with lights, a big play set, tetherball, cornhole, a real teepee, and a fire pit under a timber frame beside the pond. ATV riders can head for the trails from the front of the property.
For feeding a crowd, the kitchen has two dishwashers, double ovens, a gas cooktop, an oversized fridge and a big island with four seats. Two dining tables inside seat 10 and 12, and the back deck has more tables, with a built-in propane grill. The living room has a sectional for twelve or more, a fireplace, and an outdoor sectional just beyond the doors with its own TV. There’s also an EV plug on the property. With a group this size, some people will want the lake, some the Beavers Bend State Park trails and some the Mountain Fork River, and nobody has to agree on one.
