Way of Water Lodge

Way of Water Lodge is a blue-gray farmhouse with a metal roof, built on open ground beside the Glover River. It has three bedrooms, three and a half baths and room for 10, with about 2,200 square feet spread over two floors. The lot is open and grassy, so the sky is huge at sunset.

The back deck is the main event. A pool runs along it with a few loungers, and a daybed sits under a round metal frame at the far end. The hot tub is under a wooden pergola that frames the river and the trees on the far bank, with a TV on the wall beside it. There is a covered area with a sectional around a fire table, and a long table with red chairs sits on a strip of turf. Two blue kayaks are stored under the deck, and a fire pit with white Adirondack chairs sits out in the gravel yard.

Fishing poles and kayaks are available on request, and a basket by the living room window holds poles and striped towels. The river rises and falls with the seasons, so ask before you plan a float.

Inside, the ceiling is vaulted white shiplap over a blue sectional, rust-colored chairs and a TV above a linear fireplace. The kitchen has black cabinets, a granite island with stools and a stainless range with a microwave above it, and the dining table sits by double doors that open to the deck.

The first-floor king room has a pink velvet quilt and a leather headboard. Upstairs there is a second king with a blue quilt and glass doors to the deck, and a queen room with a bathroom next door. Each room has a TV and a dresser, and the bathrooms have black-framed mirrors over double vanities or tub-shower combinations.

The game loft has a pool table, a Pac-Man arcade game and two sets of white bunk beds, with a half bath close by. A game room sign hangs over the pool table, and double doors open to a small balcony. A stacked washer and dryer sits beside the kitchen, so wet swimsuits do not have to wait.
