Misty Moonlight

Misty Moonlight is a small one-bedroom cabin, about 850 square feet by the host’s count, with one bathroom and room for four. It is the kind of place you pick when you want woods and a porch and do not need much else.

The cabin sits on a wooded lot with pines and hardwoods all around it. A railed porch runs along the front, with a patio table and chairs and a ceiling fan overhead. The road in is gravel, and the drive in front is big enough for more than one vehicle. The listing says a boat or trailer fits too. In the aerial photos the green roof is about all you can pick out through the treetops, which tells you how much tree cover there is.

Inside it is pine paneling on the walls and ceiling and a warm dark floor underfoot, with two ceiling fans turning over the main room. The living room has a leather sofa, two leather recliners and a TV on a big wooden entertainment center. The sofa pulls out to sleep two more, which is how a one-bedroom cabin gets to four guests.

The kitchen is open to the living room. You get a full-size stove and refrigerator, a dishwasher, a microwave, a toaster and a coffee maker, plus a counter that works as a divider and a small table by the windows for eating. There are pots, dishes and utensils, so you can cook a real meal here instead of eating out every night.

The bedroom has one bed with a wood X-pattern headboard, a lamp on each side and a window looking out at the trees. The bathroom has a single vanity and a tiled walk-in shower. There is no tub. A washer and dryer come with the cabin, along with air conditioning, heat and Wi-Fi.

Up to two dogs are welcome. There is no hot tub at Misty Moonlight, and none is pictured. What you get is a quiet lot outside Broken Bow, Oklahoma, a place to cook, and a porch to sit on while you decide what to do with the day.
