Description

Truly Blessed is a log cabin with a red metal roof, set back in the woods outside Broken Bow. The inside is knotty pine from floor to rafters, so it glows orange at night with every lamp on. It has four bedrooms and four bathrooms and sleeps 12. If your group has kids in it, you will probably end up wanting the yard as much as the house.

All four bedrooms have king beds, and each has a bathroom close by. Two are downstairs and two are upstairs under sloped ceilings. The beds are different in each room: a log frame with a red rug, a pale wood headboard under a horse painting, a black iron frame, and a carved wooden bed. One bathroom has a stone-surround soaking tub, and another has a big tiled shower with a stone bench. Three portable cribs are provided. The loft upstairs has a sleeper sofa and chairs for the extra bodies.

The great room has tall ceilings, leather sofas and a stone fireplace that goes all the way up the wall. The kitchen has gray cabinets, granite counters and an island with the cooktop built in, plus a coffee bar with a drip maker and a single-cup machine. The dining table is set for eight under a wagon-wheel chandelier. Off the kitchen is a laundry room with two washers and two dryers, which matters with a house full.

Upstairs, the loft is the hangout. A pool table takes up most of it, and there is an arcade cabinet against the back wall and a TV. A shelf downstairs has Sequence, Catan and Taboo for people who want to sit still, and another has children’s books.

A long covered porch runs along the front of the cabin, strung with lights. It has plenty of seating, a long table and a gas grill, and there is a giant Connect Four set for the kids. The hot tub sits under its own pergola. In the yard you will find a stone fire pit ringed by bench swings, a swing set, a seesaw, a climbing dome with a slide, a horseshoe pit and a basketball goal on the driveway.

Check-in is self-service, there is free Wi-Fi, and the driveway has room for the cars.
